Directions: Stove Top: 1. Bring water and salt to a boil. For creamier grits, use milk instead of water. 2. Slowly stir in grits and cook, covered, on low to medium heat, stirring often for 12-15 minutes. 3. Remove from heat and keep covered for a couple of minutes before serving. 4. Season to taste with butter, salt, and/or pepper. Portion Mix: 1 Servings: 1 cup water; 1/4 cup grits; 1/4 tsp salt. 4 Servings: 4 cups water; 1 cup grits; 1 tsp salt. 12 Servings: 12 cups water; 3 cups grits; 1 tbsp salt.
